About Us

We are the perfect solution for your training needs

We are a dedicated team of experienced trainers with backgrounds in psychology and teaching.

Our primary aim is to increase a person’s awareness of the impacts of their lifestyle choices, and to encourage and support positive behaviour change.

A range of packages are available

We have developed a variety of personalised training packages and information seminars to meet the needs of the communityeducation (including seminars for secondary school students), the health professionals’ sector, as well as the workplace and corporate sector in addressing positive lifestyle change.

Our specialty is in behaviour change principles

The behaviour change principles we focus on are central to many aspects of mental and physical health.

We believe that everyone possesses the ability to change. Our intention through our programs is to facilitate, empower and support professionals to build their clients’ capacity to embrace and adopt positive lifestyle changes.

We offer training that can be tailored for a wide range of settings including health and community settings, nursing (including school nurses), pharmacy settings, acute care, oral health, general practice, midwifery, the schools setting, corrections, mental health and Aboriginal health.

We also offer workshops to motivate and encourage employees/students/community members to make healthy changes to their lifestyle. Our sessions provide practical tips, and easy-to-use behaviour change strategies that empower and guide individuals to take action.

Our expertise is in public health/health promotion

Although our background is in smoking cessation, our focus is on a range of health and wellbeing topics

It was during our time at Quit Victoria that we developed our strong interest in and passion for tobacco control and smoking cessation. We have a combined total experience of 53 years in this important health area, with extensive practice in planning, developing and implementing prevention and cessation strategies for a variety of groups.

Our widespread knowledge of, and skills in tobacco control and public health, and our understanding of behaviour change, translate into practical training and workshops that are consistent with best practice and appropriate for a wide range of settings.

Our philosophy

Our philosophy through our training and information sessions is to facilitate the work of participants to encourage and support positive lifestyle changes. For professionals who work with clients, there is strong evidence that participation in training is effective. The research shows that professionals who participate in professional development increase their skills, knowledge and confidence.

Our philosophy is to present sessions in a relaxed atmosphere where group interaction and collaboration is encouraged, and all ideas and contributions are supported. Member’s individual differences are valued and confidentiality is maintained.
